Pints for Prostates

Have you had your PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood test done yet? If you are under 50 years of age most likely not. I'm 45 and I requested my doctor to do a PSA even if my insurance company refuses to pay because I'm not over 50. I had read about Pints for Prostates in the two beer magazines I receive monthly.

I don't know why they don't just do the blood test instead of the very invasive prostate exam. My PSA test come back negative. Which after I had made my funeral arrangements I found out that a negative report is actually a positive and positive is actually negative.

I'm just joking because believe it or not I'm not actually as dumb as George Constanza of Seinfeld who on the episode The Pilot, Part 2 when hearing the test results for the possible cancerous white spot on his lip comes out negative he breaks down only to be corrected by the doctor on the other end.

Pints for Prostates is a worthy cause and I wanted to do my part and make whoever reads my blog aware of it. So sometime this week schedule yourself a PSA test.
